Years a Quilter: 40+
What was the inspiration to start quilting? I went to a Retreat in the early 90’s hosted by Diane Nagel and made a quilt with reds and gold for Christmas that incorporated a beautiful panel. The quilt turned out so beautiful that I was hooked.
Year joined the Las Vegas Quilters Guild: 2009
What is the most memorable (or favorite) quilt you crafted? The Christmas Quilt I mentioned above.
Any tip you would like to share with a novice quilter? Become good at sewing a quarter inch seam and take your time sewing your seams.
What do you enjoy most about the LVQG? The fantastic Ladies and Men in our Guild that give so much of their time and service for Charity and the appreciation by members for work done by the other members.
Personal insight you would like to share: I proudly served my country as a Navy nurse, retiring in 1992 at the rank of Commander (O5). My husband, Bill and I recently celebrated 52 years of marriage. We have a son and daughter and 5 grandchildren.
